Which pillow is a silk pillowcase 60x70 for?

60 by 70 centimetres is the standard size for pillows in the Netherlands. If you bought your pillow there without looking at the dimensions, chances are it is this size. Want to be sure? Check the sewn-in label.

The pillowcase has the same dimensions as the pillow and closes with a hidden zip. That way the silk lies smoothly around the pillow and the pillow cannot slide out. On a double bed there are usually two pillows of this size side by side; you order the pillowcases one at a time.

Eight colours in 60x70

This size gives you the most choice. Off-White, Beige and Champagne are calm shades that blend into light bedding. Lotus Pink, Icy Blue and Silver Grey are soft colours that stand out without becoming busy. Olive Green, a soft green, and Chocolate, a warm brown, give the most colour. The fabric is the same in every colour: mulberry silk of Grade 6A and 22 momme, woven densely enough for daily use.

Five of the eight colours also come as a silk sleep mask: Off-White, Icy Blue, Silver Grey, Lotus Pink and Olive Green.

What is in the box?

One pillowcase, sealed and packed in a green Silkora gift box. The silk is certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and has therefore been tested for harmful substances. You can wash it in the machine: in a laundry bag, on the silk cycle and at no more than 30 °C. The full instructions are on our page about caring for silk. Do you need a different size?

If your pillow is narrower or elongated, look at the silk pillowcases in 50x70 or the silk pillowcases in 40x80. Everything about the fabric itself, from momme to the difference with satin, is under all silk pillowcases.

Do I get a discount if I order two pillowcases?

Yes. You get 5% off two and 15% off four. You choose the quantity on the product page, under 'Buy More, Save More'.

Which colour goes with white bedding?

Off-White comes closest: a soft, muted white rather than a bright white. Champagne is warmer, with a light golden tint. If you want the pillowcase to contrast, choose Olive Green or Chocolate.

Can you see the zip when the pillowcase is on the pillow?

No. The zip is concealed and stays out of sight when the pillowcase is closed.

I want to give a pillowcase as a gift, but I don't know the size. Which one do I choose?

If the pillow is in the Netherlands, choose 60x70. It is the standard size there, so it is the most likely to fit. If the pillow turns out to be different after all, the pillowcase can be returned within 30 days of receipt, even if the gift box has been opened.
