Is silk good to sleep on?

For many people, yes. Silk is soft, smooth, and often feels pleasantly cool, which can increase comfort, for example with a silk pillowcase. It can reduce friction, which is nice for both hair and skin, and the fabric can help manage moisture in a comfortable way.

There are a few trade offs. Silk usually needs gentler care and is more expensive. Also, what feels “good” is personal: some people find silk too slippery and prefer a fabric with more grip. If you sweat a lot at night, your overall bedding and bedroom climate matter just as much.

If you are considering silk, it can be smart to start with just a pillowcase instead of buying a full set right away, so you can see whether it suits you.
